We recently released an update related to the retirement of the NIC Interview  & Performance exam and the upcoming release of the new Generalist Performance exam for Hearing Interpreter.  If you have not seen or read it, please refer to CASLI – Updates on Performance Exam for more details.

Here are additional updates regarding few other things:

If you are not aware by now, we have released the exam results for the first portion of the CASLI Generalist Knowledge Exam: Fundamental of Interpreting.  Wait time for getting exam results is now between 7 – 10 business days. This will allow us to do quality and assurance checks to ensure that the exams are intact with no technical errors.

As for the second portion of the CASLI Generalist Knowledge Exam: Ethical Decision-Making Process and Cultural Responsiveness Case Studies, exam results have not yet been sent out. We are still working on our system to resolve the issue and it is taking longer than we expected. We acknowledge that it impacts candidates who have taken the exam as they wait to get their results to determine what the next steps are. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to rectify the issue. We are confident once everything is resolved, it will be smooth sailing from here on.

Also please check and monitor your testing cycle expiration date as many candidates’ testing cycle will expire on June 1, 2022. Be sure to check your CASLI account. If you are unable to find the testing cycle expiration date, please contact us soon. We don’t want you to miss the opportunity to take your exams.

We continue to expand our network of Local Test Administrators sites. If you have any recommendations of possible sites that you think would be a good fit, please contact us and we will be happy to reach out to them to see if they are interested in becoming a testing site.

Lastly, CASLI is excited to communicate with you that we have a new addition to the CASLI Board of Managers. Two of the current Board of Managers are: Sarah Glennis-Smith and Sachiko Flores. We have five new Board of Managers that recently started with CASLI. They are:  Ku Mei Kern, Faye Kuo,  Gloshanda Lawyer, Valerie McMillan, and Onudeah Nicolarkaris. We are excited to have them part of the CASLI Board and look forward to working with them. You can refer to CASLI’s Board of Managers page on CASLI’s website.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@casli.org or testing@casli.org
