Transcript:

Hello,

Hope all is well with you.  January 2022 blinked by so quickly.

I wanted to give you a quick update on what is happening with CASLI and our exams.

CASLI Generalist Knowledge Exam and Case Study exam – I know many of you are waiting for your exam results.   We thank you for your patience.  Last month, CASLI encountered some issues that we have been working with our psychometrician and our testing platform developer to resolve these issues as quickly as we can while performing ongoing quality assurance checks to ensure all issues are resolved. Once those are solved, candidates will be notified of their exam results via email. Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding with this.

Hearing Interpreter Performance Exam (HIPE) – originally planned for release in February 2022. We have already filmed the exam and the post production progress (editing and building it in CASLI Exam System) is taking longer than we anticipated.  As of right now, we expect the exam to be released in March or early April 2022.  The NIC Interview & Performance exam will continue to be administered until the release of the HIPE exam.  We will continue to update the community with any new information on our website and through RID media channels and  social media.

A quick reminder: please  check your testing cycle expiration.  Many candidates’ TC will be expiring June 2022 or later this year.   Please check as you do not want to miss your opportunity to take the Performance exam before your TC expires.

Any exams purchased on or prior to June 30, 2021 must be taken by June 30, 2022.  If the exam is not taken, then it will be voided. Candidates do have the option of taking the exam, requesting a refund for the registration fees if the exam is not taken by June 30, 2022.

Any time you have questions, please contact me at or our Testing Specialist Sami and we will be happy to assist you.

That’s all for now and we will continue to update you with more details in the upcoming months.  Please stay safe and healthy.  Take care.
