Exam Accommodations

ADA Accommodations

CASLI recognized its responsibilities under Title II of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations to candidates with documented disabilities who demonstrate a need for accommodation.

Requests for ADA accommodations should be submitted to the CASLI by completing the Exam Accommodations Request Form and attaching supporting documentation.  Complete information about appropriate supporting documentation can be found on the Exam Accommodations Request Form. Exam Accommodations Request Forms submitted without appropriate or sufficient documentation will not be considered.

Courtesy Accommodations

If you have a temporary, physical condition (e.g., broken limb, pregnancy) that does not rise to the level of a functional disability, CASLI will work with you and the test site to make arrangements to address your needs.

Requests for courtesy accommodation should be submitted to CASLI in writing via email. Include a written request with a letter from a qualified health care professional documenting the physical limitation. Please send request to manager@casli.org

Request Processing and Reconsideration

CASLI may take up to 30 days to evaluate a complete request for accommodations.  Official notice of the decision regarding the request will be provided via e-mail at the email address provided by the candidate.  If accommodations are approved, CASLI staff will coordinate with the appropriate test site to arrange for the accommodations.  Candidates should not contact the testing site or schedule an exam with testing site until instructed to do so by CASLI staff.

If the requested accommodations are denied, a request for a reconsideration of that decision may be made in writing. Please note that requests for reconsideration are generally more effective if they include a specific reason(s) for the request and additional documentation that was not included in the original request.

If you have further questions, please contact CASLI at manager@casli.org
